Friday, January 14 – Iraq
A Bible from a local ministry ended up in the hands of an Iranian woman who had married an Iraqi, and she in turn sent it to her niece in Iran. The power of Scripture deeply moved the niece, and when she recently immigrated to Iraq, she and all her relatives there put their faith in Christ and began a house church. Workers are distributing Bibles and sharing the gospel through multiple outreaches, including service to refugees from Syria and Iran and ministries to children, widows, the elderly, the ill and the poor. Donations enable them to share God’s Word and disciple those who receive Christ. Pray the many people coming to the Lord will be strong in the face of opposition.
