Prisons are one of the few places where people of certain tribes or religions can receive Bibles and hear the gospel without interference and opposition. Indeed, local missionaries are often mobbed by prisoners clamoring to receive Bibles. When workers recently shared the gospel in the prisoners’ language, the inmates responded with tears of repentance and the joy of grace; one convict said no one had ever told them the indisputable truth of the Word, and another said he wished to apologize to all those he’d harmed. Workers seek donations of $24 or $48 to bring Bibles and the gospel to spiritually aching inmates. Local missionaries request prayer for peace in their country.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.” (Php. 4:23)
